Mini Soft Pretzels

The bread machine can do a lot more than just make bread. Use the dough setting to help create the perfect fluffy soft pretzels!

When I was a teenager, going to the mall was one of the things my friends and I did on the weekends. We always made a stop at Auntie Anne’s Pretzels and I still get one whenever I pass a booth. The airport by me has one in the terminal we usually fly from, so I can count on delicious soft pretzels when I take a trip.

Instead of having to go to the nearest mall, though, I wanted to make some on our own. The bread machine we have came with a recipe book and included one for soft pretzels.

Apparently, I’m not too great with pretzel dough, though, and forming and shaping it. Mine came out to be mini-sized and I liked them that way! They were thick, but it made them more doughy which was perfect.

Mini Soft Pretzels Leftovers

Leftover soft pretzels can be stored in a container at room temperature. They start to lose their fluffy soft texture after a day or two, so are best eaten quickly.

  1. These look incredible and something that I am certainly going to make for my lot over the summer holidays. And in the autumn! My kids LOVE a cinnamon pretzel, haha! Thanks for sharing!

  2. Small but thick and doughy is how I like them too. These would be fun to make in the bread machine. The little size makes it easier for everyone to use their own toppings too.

  3. Love the video graphic! These look so fabulous…I have not yet made homemade pretzels but you’ve made it look so easy! Cannot wait to try!

  4. I always grab pretzels from Auntie Anne’s. I didn’t know it only consist of simple few ingredients! I will give this a try. Thank you!
