Blend the delicious comfort food tastes of pizza with the idea of a fun easy dip for French bread to create the perfect appetizer: pizza dip!
Jump to RecipePizza has been one of my comfort foods for as long as I can remember. Every Friday night was pizza night growing up. When I was pregnant with Tyler, I craved so much pizza! We still order pizza out when it’s spirit night for the elementary school but otherwise, I make it myself.
We’ve made traditional pizza a lot. Sometimes I make homemade dough in the bread machine, other times I buy a pizza crust or ready-made dough. I’ve made pizza burgers and pizza flatbread. We tried taco pizza and sausage kale pizza. In college, we made homemade pizza bagels for at least one meal per week.
As you can see, pizza is a hit around the Lynch household. I also love dips of any kind and eat them as a meal. Pizza dip came about for my desire to have a dip while also wanting the taste of pizza!

Super Easy Pizza Dip Step by Step
Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 2 tbsp chives, dried
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 loaf French bread
- Desired pizza toppings

Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350.
In an ungreased 1-quart shallow baking dish, spread the cream cheese.

Sprinkle with chives, onion powder, and garlic powder.

Layer with pizza sauce, any desired pizza toppings, then cheese.

Bake 10-15 minutes or until dip is hot and cheese is melted. Slice the French bread into thin pieces and toast if desired.
Serve warm with bread to dip.

Super Easy Pizza Dip Leftovers
If you have leftover pizza dip (spoiler alert: we didn’t have any leftovers!), you can store it in the refrigerator in an airtight container. I feel like this is a dip that would be good cold as well as warm, so it’s up to you if you reheat it or not.
