Ingredients

red apples
thinly sliced and cored

sugar

lemon juice

flour

cinnamon

plain bread crumbs

brown sugar

butter
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine the apples, sugar, and lemon juice
In another large bowl, whisk the flour, cinnamon, bread crumbs, and brown sugar
Use a pastry blender or two butter knives to cut in the butter until a crumbly mixture forms
Layer 1/3 of the bread crumb mixture in the bottom of the slow cooker
Add half of the apples on top
Add another layer of bread crumbs, the remaining apples, then top with the remaining bread crumbs
Cover and cook on high for 4 hours
Serve warm with whipped topping or ice cream
