In the spring, light and fresh desserts are perfect. Many are cheesecake based, but that doesn’t work for those who don’t care for cream cheese. White chocolate strawberry bars remind me of the texture of cheesecake, but not the same taste.

These end up being very fluffy when you are done. And using both dried and fresh strawberries lets you add strawberry flavors to the crust and top it with fresh strawberries. My boys don’t care for cooked strawberries, so this was a great way to please everyone in the family.

Saltine crackers are often used as the base of dessert bars. They work well because they don’t have a lot of flavor, so they let the dessert really shine. Saltines also add just a bit of salty taste to a dessert to give it that sweet and salty combination.

Step by Step

Preheat the oven to 350F and gather your ingredients.

Leftovers

Store leftover white chocolate strawberry dessert bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator. If you know you will have leftovers, it’s best to wait to add the fresh strawberries until you are ready to serve so they don’t get soft.

We love home baking and we are lucky here in the UK to have a fab range of produce available, so I may well pick up some strawberries at the weekend and try these out x

  3. I am looking at this dessert and wishing it was summer already! I love strawberries and I have a bunch frozen up from the last harvest, and I am wondering if I can make this dessert with things I currently have. Both ways, I want to give this a try because it looks delicious! Thank you for sharing this recipe.
