We recently made some homemade queso, and had a lot leftover. Well, along with the queso was the chips to eat it. But, I wasn’t really in the mood for leftover queso, and nachos sounded amazing.

So, we did what we do best and decided to try making some quick and easy sheet pan nachos. They are perfect for a family snack or would be a great option for game day at home.

Personally, I don’t like when chips start to get soggy, so I don’t order nachos when we are out places. It takes too long from when it’s cooked until I eat it. Yes, it’s a texture thing, but if my chip can fold without breaking, I won’t eat it.

Making sheet pan nachos at home is so easy, and you can eat them immediately, eliminating the worry of soggy chips.

Sheet Pan Nachos Step by Step

Preheat the oven to 400F. Brown the ground beef in a skillet. Drain the ground beef and mix in the taco seasoning.

Bake for about 5-10 minutes, until the cheese has melted. Remove from the oven and drizzle with queso.

Sheet Pan Nachos Leftovers

Any leftover sheet pan nachos likely won’t keep well. As I mentioned previously, the chips get soggy with the cheese on them. If you’re not going to eat it all at once, I would cook the meat, but then store that separately. When you’re ready for another batch, put them together and bake them at that time.

  1. We love to make sheet pan nachos! Its actually on our meal plan for next week! We use black bean hummus and its SO SO SO good!

    1. I didn’t think about some of our staple foods here being imported into other places and having higher costs. Though now that you mention that I remember it being the case even in Hawaii.

  2. 5 stars
This looks so delicious that I can’t imagine any leftover nachos from this. I would love to make a veggie based version. Yum

    1. We didn’t have much leftover either. About the only part that wasn’t eaten was the ones on my kid’s plates because they didn’t care for it! But you could easily swap the ground beef for beans to make it a meatless meal.

  3. I agree with you about not liking soft nachos, they need to be crunchy. And these nachos look super tasty x
