There’s nothing better than Sautéed Apples with Ice Cream! This delicious dessert can be made in 30 minutes and wow everyone.
I love almost everything made from apples. And right now, as the weather is starting to cool off and fall is approaching, apples are going to be in season and tasting better than ever. And nothing is better than sautéed apples with ice cream!
Justin doesn’t usually like things that are hot and cold at the same time like in this recipe, but he loved this dessert. The apples have just the right amount of crispness, while still being nice and soft. It’s kind of like apple pie but without all the extra calories from the crust. Then again, once you add the ice cream, I guess the calories are still there!
We had fun making our Sauteed Apples with Ice Cream. I thought it would be more difficult, but the longest part was actually getting the apples sliced up.
Sautéed Apples with Ice Cream is one of the many delicious desserts you can find in my digital cookbook: One-Pan 30 Minute Meals.
Step by Step
Years ago, we got this apple slicer that helps speed the process up a lot. I use the apple slicer to cut the apples into wedges, then cut the peels off with a knife, and cut the wedges into smaller slices.
In a large skillet, melt the butter, then add the apples to the pan.
Sauté the apples for about 7-8 minutes, or until the apples are soft. Then add in the brown sugar and cinnamon, cooking for a few more minutes.
Once the apples are cooked, scoop them out into a bowl and add a scoop (or two) of ice cream on top. Then enjoy!
