Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
This was the famous letter that started it all so this letter started all of us on our journey with Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville, Ginny, Luna, and all the others through Hogwarts and beyond. This was when we entered the unknown wizarding world with Harry Potter.
So this was what made me fall in love with reading all over again. Funny story: I was actually against reading the books because I didn’t enjoy reading. When my mom was teaching fourth grade and I was in seventh, I would volunteer in her classroom. One of the boys kept telling me to read Harry Potter, but I didn’t. Then, when I stayed with my cousins, they had just gotten the Sorcerer’s Stone movie and we watched it. I was hooked so I immediately went to the school library to get the books and the rest was history.
Why Harry Potter Recipes?
Therefore, to say I love Harry Potter is an understatement. Half of my shirts are Harry Potter and I listen to the soundtracks almost daily. My oldest son came home from the hospital to the Gryffindor Common Room although now that’s my youngest son’s room theme after we moved. I also host a monthly Harry Potter Club. I’ve read the books and watched the movies so many times I’ve lost count. So yes, I have made my own wand. #hpnerd
When we started our monthly Harry Potter Club, I wanted to make foods and drinks that would go with the movies. I tried to go with the movie we were currently on, but that got too difficult at times.
Then, I decided since I have so many recipes, that July 2018 would be Harry Potter month in honor of Harry’s and J.K. Rowling’s birthday. And the month that the last two books were released. July is also the month that everything started for Harry and it’s the month that always makes me think of Harry Potter.

Butterbeer
No Harry Potter fan is complete without a delicious mug of Butterbeer in hand! Make the wizarding world’s favorite drink at home.
I’ve also found many other recipes from other fellow food bloggers who have made some inspiring recipes from the Harry Potter series. Some of these are similar to the recipes that I’ve created though many are very different. A few of these recipes have also inspired me with new ideas for other recipes to make for Harry Potter Club, and I can’t wait to try them out.
I have thoroughly enjoyed all of your Harry Potter inspired recipes this month. As a fellow potterhead I’ve been collecting the recipes and I’m thinking about having a potter themed birthday for my son!
The fudge is so great. I had some one time at school and my son’s teacher tried a bite and loved it so I made a whole batch for her and her family for Christmas 🙂
I am not a big Harry Potter fan but I wonder what butterbeer tastes like. I have to try the recipe because I have no plans going to Universal Studios Japan in the near future.
YOu had me at Harry Potter. Seriously I would love if at some point I could convince one of my kids to have a Harry Potter themed party so I could make stuff like this!
I am so glad to see all these links together in one place, Stephanie! My girls have really been getting into cooking more this summer – I will have to show them this post when we’re back from vacation, and see which they want to try making first!
Whoa what a great niche recipe round up! This would be an amazing resource for anyone throwing a Harry Potter themed party or event! Thanks for sharing!
GAH! You really did me in with that FUDGE!!! I have only had fudge like once in my life and I remember it being heavenly!! So now I want MORE!
Oh my gosh, the fudge is delicious!
Omg those pumpkin desserts, hat cupcakes, oh my! You did a great job capturing Harry Potter in this post! 🙂
Thanks, Jennifer! We had so much fun making all of these recipes.
This collection of recipes is amazing! The pork chops and the fudge look like things my family would really enjoy.
We enjoy all of these recipes, but those two are delicious! I’ve made both the pork and fudge multiple times now.

I love this. LOVE. You are so clever and all of these look exactly like I pictured them in my mind.
Thanks, Holly! It was so fun to make all of the recipes and bring it to life.
The pasty looks so good similar to what we call meat pie in Nigeria. Really nice finger foods for a kids party
I had someone else tell me it looks similar to that. But this is filled with pumpkin instead of meat.
These are definitely the dishes you serve at an HP themed party that everyone will surely enjoy!
My friends all loved the recipes when we had our get-togethers!
I am not a big Harry Potter fan but I wonder what butterbeer tastes like. I have to try the recipe because I have no plans going to Universal Studios Japan in the near future.
Butterbeer is so yummy! You should definitely give it a try at home.
That is so so cool! I am a huge fan of Harry Potter, can’t wait to try a few of these recipes.
They are all perfect for any Harry Potter fan, or even for those who aren’t since they are so delicious!

It makes it so easy to find them all 🙂 Even for me when I go to make some of these again and again as we often do.
YES!!!! This is amazing. I am such a fan and these are great ideas to create at home for sure xx
We are obviously huge HP fans, too. It’s so fun to bring the books to life in this way!
The desserts caught my eyes because I have a sweet tooth that I’m trying to retrain. Those pumpkin treats look like a winner. Yum!
We all have a big sweet tooth at our house, too. The desserts are our favorite!

We made most of these for our Harry Potter Club, so it was a big hit with the group!
