Food Photography Services

Do you have ideas for recipes but no time to develop and photograph them? Or maybe you have recipes that have been on your website for a while and are in need of a facelift. Whatever your needs, let us help you!

At Son Shine Kitchen, we’ve been developing and photographing recipes for over 3 years now. During that time, we have learned a lot about food photography and are systematically photographing every recipe over again for ourselves. In doing this, Justin has found a love of food photography and wants to start offering this to others. Stephanie makes the food, Justin takes the photos!

You provide the recipe, we provide the photos!

  • High-Quality Images
  • Professional Styling
  • Excellent Props and Backdrops
  • Hi-Resolution Edited JPG Photos
  • Final Photos in both Horizontal and Vertical (at least one of each)
  • Minimal recipe testing: We will note if we see errors in the recipe such as an ingredient mentioned in the instructions but not in the ingredients and similar small issues

Timeline

Recipe photography turn-around is about two weeks for an individual recipe. Typically, ingredients can be purchased and the recipe photographed within one week, depending on availability. The photos will then be edited and completed in the next week.

For a subscription, the recipes will be completed within the month and the files sent by the end of the month at the latest. For example: You will receive your invoice through PayPal on the 1st of the month. Once that is paid and recipes are emailed to Son Shine Kitchen, we will start creating and photographing the recipes. You will receive an email with your dropbox folder on or before the last day of that month.

Ingredients

The price for photographing a recipe includes up to $15 of ingredients. If a recipe requires a cost above this amount, it will be charged to the client. In this case, a receipt from the grocery store will be provided. In the case that ingredients are unique and need to be special-ordered, that will add to the timeline.

Delivery

Upon completion, you will receive a DropBox link with all of your jpg photos that will be available for 60 days. Please download the files as soon as you get them as it’s not guaranteed they will be available past 60 days.

Payment

Payment will be made through PayPal invoice. All payment is due before work will start. For subscriptions, you will be invoiced on the 1st of the month for the following month. 30 days notice is required when cancelling any subscription.

Recipe Testing

When we photograph recipes, we will make note via a text file in the folder with the photos of any minor errors we find in the recipe. This can be an ingredient mentioned in the instructions but not listed in the ingredients or vice versa. It can be a note if we had to cook something for a longer or shorter amount of time than listed to achieve the desired results. For full recipe testing, please send a message with your desired photography package and we can discuss your needs further.
