Build an Everything Yogurt Parfait for a quick and easy breakfast or snack while you are on the go. Use up anything in the pantry for this tasty treat.
There are so many ways to make a parfait, but my favorite is to throw a little bit of everything in there. That’s why I call this an Everything Yogurt Parfait.
The beauty of making parfaits at home is making it exactly how you want. Or, in my case, using up what we have. I like to throw whatever I find in this one.
Sometimes I use fresh fruit, other times I use frozen. If it’s frozen fruit, I fix them up but save them for the next day so the fruit has time to thaw. A parfait is a great way to use up any fruit that is getting soft, too. I don’t like to have waste in our kitchen, so we find ways to use as much as possible before throwing it in the compost bin as a last resort.
We keep chia seeds and flax seed in the pantry for Tyler’s oatmeal. I throw a bit of that into the parfait. It helps keep me full throughout the day when I eat it for breakfast.
Tips for the Best Yogurt Parfait
- Type of Yogurt: Plain yogurt or plain Greek yogurt offers a thicker consistency and is a great way to reduce added sugars.
- Granola Choices: Use homemade granola for extra crunch and control over ingredients.
- Prevent Soggy Granola: Keep granola in a separate container and add just before eating to maintain its crunchy texture.
- Make-Ahead Fruit: Prepare fruit sauce or overnight oats to layer with yogurt for a quick snack or dinner treat.
Nutritional Benefits
Incorporating yogurt parfaits into your diet is a great way to enhance gut health, thanks to the good bacteria found in yogurt. Chia seeds contribute to your daily values of fiber and omega-3 fatty acids, while fresh fruit adds vitamins and antioxidants.
Variations to Try Next Time
- Peanut Butter Twist: Add a layer of peanut butter between the yogurt and fruit for a protein boost.
- Chocolate Indulgence: Sprinkle chocolate chips on top of the yogurt mixture for a sweet treat.
- Flavorful Yogurt Options: Experiment with flavored yogurt like vanilla Greek yogurt or whole milk yogurt for different taste profiles.
- Incorporate Overnight Oats: Combine overnight oats with layers of yogurt and fruit for a hearty breakfast option.

Everything Yogurt Parfait Step by Step
Ingredients
- 32 oz vanilla yogurt
- 1 cup strawberries (chopped)
- 1 cup blackberries
- 1/2 cup blueberries
- 1/2 cup chia seeds
- 1/2 cups flax seeds
- 1/4 cup coconut flakes
Preparation
Prepare your parfait jars by cleaning out old glass jars or mason jars and find the matching lids. If you’re like me and save all of your glass jars, it can take a few minutes to find lids. It’s better to do it before you have the parfaits in the jar in case you can’t find the correct lid.
Spoon the yogurt into each jar until they are about 1/3 full. Put a few pieces of the berries into each jar with half of the flax and chia seeds and coconut flakes.

Add a few more scoops of yogurt to the jars. Top with more of your “everything” fillings.
Either eat immediately or seal and place in the refrigerator.

Everything Yogurt Parfait Leftovers
Storage: Store your yogurt parfait in an airtight container or mason jar to keep it fresh. This make-ahead fruit parfait is ideal for meal prep, ensuring you have a healthy breakfast or quick snack ready for the most important meal of the day.

This looks yummy! I love yogurt – I eat it most mornings for breakfast so will have to give this recipe a try… it will make a nice change!
It’s such a great breakfast, so refreshing and healthy to start the morning.
I love making parfait. Have you ever tried making it with homemade yogurt (Vietnamese style) ? It’s the best.
I tried making homemade yogurt once and it totally failed. I don’t know what Vietnamese style is, though, so I’ll have to see what I can find.
I’m so lucky my son loves yogurt and fruit! My presentation isn’t quite as phot-worthy as yours, but this is one of my fave breakfasts to serve on those mornings I don’t want to cook.
My boys love it too, and I will do the same for breakfast some mornings. For them and for me!
After eating so much during the summer. I am determined to make a conscious effort to eat healthier starting next month. This yogurt parfait would be a nice and healthy breakfast is to start my day.
I know exactly how you feel. We were out of town for a month total this summer and it’s definitely catching up to me!
I love yogurt and how versatile it is. You can use it in so many ways. I am going to try this recipe and make it for morning boost. Yogurt and fruits first thing in the morning makes me really happy.
There are so many ways to use yogurt, I know I’ve only scratched the surface myself. It’s such a great breakfast, though, and doesn’t make me feel hungry an hour after eating it.
This is perfect for me before (or after) running. I like the ‘everything’ style. You keep providing us with easy and delicious ideas. Thanks for that!
This is my favorite of the types of yogurt parfaits we make. Just throw a little of everything in there for a delicious breakfast or snack.
I always tend to eat mine immediately! But it is so good, I need to get some mason jars!
I make big batches of them, so will eat one right away if I’m using fresh fruit, but it makes me save them and spread them out over a few days if I use frozen fruit.
Except that I don’t do mine in a jar, and I don’t always do all of these ingredients, this is basically my breakfast every single morning! (unless it’s cooler weather, when I switch to oatmeal).
I like putting them in the jar to be able to grab one quickly in the morning. And I usually use frozen fruit so they need time to thaw. But it’s such a great easy breakfast!
Looks so pretty! absolutely ideal for me. Easy to cook and eat and so festive!
They do end up looking so pretty! And a great quick easy breakfast for sure.

Aww, I’m so happy these recipes have helped you so much! My boys can be picky eaters, too, so I know the struggle.
I love parfait! This is a simple yet delicious recipe for breakfast or snacks on the go. I haven’t tried adding flax seeds. Shall try now!
I like adding the flax seeds because it helps keep me full throughout the day. Also a bonus when the kids eat them before school so they aren’t hungry in class.
