We have slowly been gathering license plates to hang in Tyler’s bedroom (3 years old) to go along with the Cars theme he has. We had a few hanging up in there, but have gotten a lot more lately, and I was trying to decide what to do with them all. A while ago we had talked about lining his wall with plates, but realized that would not work well and put way too many holes in the wall. So as I was looking through all the plates we have, I laid them out on the counter top and that gave me an idea. I used some twine/rope that I already had from previous projects, and used that to tie the plates together, and put a large one at the top to hang them all from. This meant now we would only have 6 holes in the wall, instead of the dozens from hanging each plate individual. I used one nail at the top to hold them up, and put two in the bottom to keep them from moving on the walls. Overall, I am pretty happy with how it came out, and Tyler loves it which is the most important.
